On Hwy 21 south of Kingston, AR and before Boxley. If you’re coming in from the Kingston direction, the driveway is on the right, just before the brake check pullover as you’re heading downhill to the valley. Close to Hawksbill Crag, Buffalo River headwaters, Buffalo River canoeing outfitters.

We’re a primitive camping area with beautiful scenery and sights in the Upper Buffalo River area, located between Kingston and Boxley, Arkansas. It’s very near Ponca, too.

Come out to our 160 acres of wilderness to enjoy hiking, camping, and horseback trails. There’s waterfalls to see and hidden springs to find.

We have 12 designated camping sites, and 160 acres for off-site camping. It’s a pack-in, pack-out setup. There’s a phone here to use, but no cell-phone reception except intermittently. No WiFi. No disruptions from technology 🙂

  • trails for hiking or horseback
  • camping
  • no showers
  • Port-o-Pots restrooms

Escape the technology. Put the cell phones and tablets down. Hike, splash, and get soaked in our waterfalls. Get disconnected from technology and RECONNECTED to nature.

Wildflowers! This is a trout lily and it blooms in very early spring. It’s one of the ‘spring ephemerals’ like bloodroot and toothwort. © Wild Ozark 2019
